The final stage of refurbishment work to the bandroom gets underway!

It’s the final countdown - as the last stage of work to the bandroom building gets underway!

We’re undertaking floor repairs and joinery works, installing new electrics, re-plastering and providing new toilet and kitchen facilities that will serve both the main rehearsal space and the new ground floor flexible studio space.

These final improvements have been made possible thanks to generous support from the Bernard Sunley Foundation, South Yorkshire Community Foundation, Kirklees Council Growing Great Places Fund, and everyone who so kindly backed our Spacehive crowdfunding campaign.

“It’s taken a huge amount of effort to get to the final stage, but with everyone’s help and support we’re almost there,” said Hepworth Band Trustee Graham Goldthorpe. “We’re so grateful to all of our grant funding partners and to everyone who has so generously supported our Spacehive appeal. Completing this final phase with the help of our main contractor, Huddersfield Joinery Limited, will deliver a fantastic community facility that we can all be proud of.”
