Hepworth looks forward to a busy autumn season

The Hepworth band looks forward to a busy autumn season as it returns to rehearsals after a short summer break.

The band heads to Symphony Hall, Birmingham on Saturday 9th September to compete at the 169th British Open Brass Band Championships alongside the very best of British brass bands, performing the set work ‘Sand and Stars’ by the acclaimed French composer Thierry Deleruyelle.

Later in September, the band is delighted to be performing at the 2023 Holmfirth Arts Festival - one of Yorkshire's best small festivals, performing a specially selected programme reflecting the Festival theme "Forces of Nature".

The band is pleased to have been invited to perform at this year’s Brass Bands England ‘Brass Band Conference’ in October at the University of Huddersfield, where we’ll premiére the winning composition of the Newmoon Insurance Young Composers Competition.

On Saturday 7 October, we’ll be performing at Huddersfield Town Hall as we join forces with New Mill Male Voice Choir and Denby Dale Ladies Choir to present an evening of ‘Brass & Voices’, showcasing the talent in the local communities of the Holme Valley and Denby Dale.
