Hepworth Band looks forward to a busy Spring Season

As winter finally draws to a close, the band is looking forward to a busy Spring season of contests, concerts and creative projects.

Yorkshire Brass Band Championships

The bands 2024 contest season gets underway with the Yorkshire Brass Band Championships in Huddersfield Town Hall over the weekend of the 2-3 March 2024, as more than fifty bands compete across all sections, seeking the honour of representing Yorkshire at the finals of the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain.

A Celebration of Great British Music

The band returns to Huddersfield Town Hall on Saturday 23 March as guests of the Brighouse & Rastrick Band, along with the massed voices from Colne Valley, Gledholt and New Mill Male Voice Choirs for an evening celebrating the very best of great British music - definitely one not to be missed!

Brass & Cream Tea

St David's Church, Holmbridge hosts a special afternoon concert in aid of the Church organ repair fund, on Sunday 14 April with a great programme of music and a delicious interval cream tea, staged as part of the bands 'Music in the Holme Valley' 2024 concert series.

Annual Holme Valley Brass Band Contest

We’ll be supporting our local Holme Valley Brass Band Contest at The Civic, Holmfirth, Sunday 28 April when we’ll be hoping for a repeat of previous success.

Youth Music Partnership

We’re excited to be launching our ‘Youth Music Partnership’ project, Saturday 4 May at The Civic, Holmfirth whe’re we’ll be hosting rehearsal workshops, a performance masterclass and gala concert with the first of our youth music partners, HD9 Community Youth Brass.
