BRASS & BUSINESS IN HARMONY

Portman Land

If you find an opportunity to promote the Band you might wish to download our Brass and Business document or our Publicity Brochure

As with everything in life, the costs of running and maintaining a Championship Section Brass Band has increased steadily over the years. We now have to raise in the order of £20,000 to £25,000 a year just to retain the status quo.

We raise money in a variety of ways. From individual sponsors who pay towards the running costs or support a particular concert, by performing concerts for other organisations, by arranging our own concert series, through prize money and by fund raising events, ranging from raffles & auctions to sponsored walks and treasure hunts.

As well as covering the general day to day running costs, the monies raised are used to support particular projects:

  1. Promotion of an annual concert series
  2. Renewal of instruments
  3. Renewal and upkeep of uniforms
  4. Purchase of new music
  5. Establishing and developing a beginners brass group

OPPORTUNITIES FOR SPONSORSHIP

These are exciting times for the band and we can offer you an opportunity to be part of the success. As companies look for ways in which they can cost effectively promote themselves on a local and national basis, sponsorship of a brass band can provide a unique way to reach a wider audience, increasing exposure and awareness through a flexible package of opportunities to suit different needs and budgets.

Hepworth band was formed in 1882 as a subscription band, with players, officials and villagers making donations towards the running costs. The band are looking to revive this idea and have launched the Hepworth band Subscription Scheme.

PLATINUM PATRONAGE

For the sum of £5,000 per annum we can offer you an opportunity to develop a bespoke package of events, services and exposure, tailor made to meet your own particular requirements.

As a Platinum Patron, you will have an opportunity to use the band for an agreed number of functions throughout the year. You can select from the following options or alternatively we can create a package to meet your requirements.

Why not make an impact by using the band to perform at a corporate event such as a trade show or exhibition, your company AGM or at an annual conference.

You could use the band for a concert to help support a particular charity or fund raising event. This could be a summer proms event complete with a "last night of the proms" finale or a concert in a local church, perhaps with a guest choir.

You can use the band’s brass group for a social function such as a garden party, birthday celebration, a wedding or to play Christmas carols at a venue of your choice.

You could use the band for a CD recording. Perhaps a CD of Christmas favourites that can be used as gifts for your customers or clients, or a recording to mark a special occasion.

As well as being able to use the band for particular functions, you can expect to receive the following services and exposure:

A VIP invitation for 12 guests to our annual Patron’s concert, the centrepiece of the bands concert series featuring the band with guest artists, where you can enjoy a pre concert reception with fellow Patron’s and tickets for the best seats in the house.

We will work with you to develop a programme of publicity to promote the association between the band and your company throughout the year, with regular press releases to publicise how your support has enabled the band to undertake particular projects.

Each year the band promotes a series of four seasonal concerts. Patron’s support will be acknowledged in concert programmes and during each of the concerts. You will also receive complimentary tickets for each concert in the annual series. You will be allocated your own Patron&rsquo's page on the band’s website that you can tailor to suit your own requirements. Your support will be acknowledged in the band’s quarterly newsletter, circulated to subscribers, supporters and the local community, with a "Patron’s Spotlight" to feature your support.
