The Hepworth band is delighted to have received grant funding from Holme Valley Parish Council and One Community that will help the band undertake the final phase of works to refurbish the bandroom building.

Having successfully completed the refurbishment of the main rehearsal space, the band now turns its attention to the ground floor of the building, with plans to replace the existing timber framed single glazed windows, upgrade the toilet and kitchen facilities, create a new library and storage area and to develop a new flexible studio space that can be used for individual and group tuition and also by other groups within the local community.

Band trustee Graham Goldthorpe said "we're grateful to Holme Valley Parish Council and One Community for their continued support, the grants will help us to replace the existing downstairs windows and we can then move forward with the balance of the scheme and deliver a fantastic community facility."
