Yorkshire Brass Band Championships

More than 50 bands will be competing over the weekend for the right to represent Yorkshire at the National Brass Band Championships in London. The Championship Section starts at 3.15pm. Tickets, £10.00, available from Kirklees Theatre Ticketing.
The British Open Brass Band Spring Festival

The band will be competing in the Senior Cup with a view to qualifying for the 2020 Grand Shield. The set test piece is Symphonic Music by Paul Huber.
The Whit Friday March Contests

Hepworth will be among about 100 bands from all over the UK and even some from abroad competing for the prizes at the villages around Saddleworth, at what has been called the greatest free show on Earth.

The band will lead the feast procession from Hepworth School over to Scholes, down to Jackson Bridge, and then back up through the village to the school, stopping at various points along the way for hymn singing, and later accompanyng the communal sing outside the Butcher’s Arms at 7.00pm.
